Crystal Chandelier

This is our new crystal chandelier. I found it at one of my favorite antique stores and I was happy to see it as it was nearly identical to the chandelier I tore out of a magazine several years ago.

It's truly amazing how inspiring room photographs are. During our remodel, I kept a three-ring binder organized by room with photos such as the above to help guide me (and our contractors) towards our aesthetic intentions (often not easily expressed through words).

I still tear out inspiration photos for my three-ring binder! I just can't help myself. Someday I'll do a post comparing all our rooms with the inspiration photos that I went by!

Hi Trina,

You know you've done a good job when the thumbnail that goes up on your post looks like it's from a magazine. And yours does. Absolutely beautiful.

Hi Trina,

Just wanted to "call in" and say how much I love your new purchases. The chandelier looks better than the one in your inspiration picture! Love the couch and two chairs, I suppose for you the next few weeks can't come quick enough. The furniture is classic and has really good lines (in my humble opinion) and I am sure will look wonderful. Am really enjoying your blog and "call in" often!!
Have a great day

Hi Trina,

I was just looking at Tara's site and recognized your porch immediately. It looks gorgeous.

I have binders full of the exact same things. Some are room specific... others are just beautiful things for inspiration. I often pull them out when I'm feeling a little uninspired or when I need to freshen a space and need some different perspectives.

I love that I'm not the only one who does this.
