A New Name

Considering all of the changes around here, I thought it was time to update my blog. Once again, Shari at Little Blue Deer has helped with that process. I know I say this every time, but she really is the most patient and wonderful person to work with!

The title may be a little vague and imply that we are neither here nor there (between houses so to speak)... but to me, it feels very grounding.

The content of the new blog will probably consist of many of the same things...all things house, antiques, healthy living, nature's beauty, food, and more food.

One thing is for certain though, I look forward to sharing and relishing with you the beauty and simple pleasures that this next chapter will bring.

With warmest regards,

Catherine

  20. An exciting new start, though A Country Farmhouse will always be dear to me. It is what inspired me to begin blogging almost 3 years ago. Will you be archiving all those wonderful posts and photos from A Country Farmhouse so we can still reference them on your new blog?

  21. Hi Claudia, I will leave the old posts. The search button isn't working so I'm trying to figure that out.

La maison, They are hydrangea. A hydrangea tree that I always wanted to grow in our old garden. They are lovely.

  23. I love the new name and am so looking forward to following your new adventures in a new place.
Your former home is an on-going inspiration for me. My husband and I are also in-between homes right now and I secretly feel inside that I won't be able to "decorate" our new home without seeing what you come up with first in your new one! Isn't that silly? But I do admire your sense of beauty.

  24. Didn't you always sign off as Trina? Now it's Catherine? I'm confused.

  28. What a lovely reinterpretation, Catherine. Your new title brings to mind London's St. Martin-in-the-Fields and the wonderful chamber orchestra that shares its name. Your writings evoke feelings of peace, grace and gratitude. xoxo

  34. I just did a blog name change too. My previous blog was for a certain period and time. We moved and that business closed and I was ready for a new beginning. I am glad I did it. Cheers to new beginnings!

  35. I am so glad you have not stopped blogging! I enjoyed your blog so much, especially the outdoor landscaping. Soon I will be moving to a new location with a lot of possibility. Since hydrangeas are some of my favorite flowers, I came to your blog to take a peek at all of your various kinds of hydrangeas. Thank you!~ Carolyn

  37. When did your first name change? I might have missed it, but I thought your first name was Trina?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi Jessica,
I've decided to go by Catherine. Trina is an abbreviation of Catherine and a nickname I've wanted to shed for years. Best, Catherine

  39. About 25 years ago I also decided to abandon "Cathy" and use my given name, "Catherine." I have never regretted it although some family members and my oldest friends still trip over "Cathy."

  40. I love Shari too! She designed my blog as well. I have been following you for two years. Love your style.
