From the Earth



We pulled a few bunches of carrots this evening. Enough to make some nice meals... in a soup, sliced in salad, sauteed, roasted, or boiled and pureed into baby food. Besides the pumpkins and herbs, the carrots are the last of the garden.

    That is one of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. It certainly tells a story and I love that. I just want to pinch those baby cheeks and baby girls sweater is gorgeous. What a beautiful family you have.

    Your carrots are beautiful. I remember how much fun it was pulling carrots and potatoes from the garden as a teenager. And speaking of beautiful ... the twins are too, of course! How big they are getting. Soon they'll be walking.

    Yum, I love fresh carrots from the garden. I like them raw, (only way my parents could get me to eat veggies as a child, still my preference).

    And those "sweet pea" children are treasures. I can bet each day is a new memory to cherish . . .

    Love this! I haven't yet ventured to carrots in my garden. Next year, though! Isn't that the truth of it? Our babies are pressed and clean and the parents, uh not so much. :)

    Your carrots look yummy! And your two little sweet peas look so fresh and clean! Funny you mentioned about the scruff while the babies are so well taken care of...here I am, sitting at computer with my bathrobe still on and the baby is crawling around with fresh, clean clothes on and a freshly changed diaper. As soon as he goes down for a nap it's shower time for me!!

    Freshly bathed AND well-fed. I love a chunky baby. Two chunky and freshly bathed babies are delicious! I bet you find it impossible not to nibble on them.

    Isn't that the truth? The babies are always clean and well dressed. The parents? Well..... I'm clean, but hair, make up, and clothes have seen better days. My husband would probably say that I'm clean, but wonders if I lost my razor. ha!

    Your sweetpeas are adorable! I have 5 year old adorable twins of my own. We picked the last of the roses yesterday. My little son could not get enough of the wonderful perfume and kept pressing his little nose deeply into the flowers..so cute! My favorite smelling rose is Fredric Mistral..it is amazing! we bought it as agift for Father's Day for my husband, Frederick. Love your blog & love brown transferware...Happy Fall!!
