Spring

If there comes a little thaw,
Still the air is chill and raw,
Here and there a patch of snow,
Dirtier than the ground below,
Dribbles down a marshy flood;
Ankle-deep you stick in mud
In the meadows while you sing,
"This is Spring."

-Christopher Pearce Cranch

I just love the imagery of in the meadows while you sing.

HAPPY SPRING!

  5. I love daffodils. We are awaiting the arrival of 80 new bulbs to plant for our southern hemisphere spring later this year. Your flowers are always so beautiful, and I'm so envious of the flower farm! I don't know of anything like that here in Tasmania.

  7. Beautiful quote, thank you for helping to remind myself how important it is to appreciate what is here and now, instead of dwelling on the things out of our control. I receive so much enjoyment from you're blog. Thank you.

  25. Hello Trina!

    While we wait for spring to come here in Norway, I am enjoying myself with ranuculus and other signs of spring - indoor. It is perhaps cheating a bit, but it makes the waiting period easier! I love your blog, and look forward to many beautiful photos as we as we approach summer. I'm curious to see more of your garden, as I am sure will be a great place for your sweet babies to play .. If you have the time, it would be so nice if you visited my blog, it has a translation-button ;)
