A Country Field

We enjoyed a few glimpses of blue sky between the late summer rains we had over this past weekend. This field is down the road from us and as you can see, the deciduous trees are still green but they're beginning to fade ever so slightly...I do believe that fall is in the air.

  1. I would love this kind of fall. You might want to check out my latest post about autumnal cooling in Arizona--sigh! Yours looks better--much!

  2. The trees here in Upstate NY are really starting to pop with color. Much more vibrant than last year, I think. I just love fall!

  5. We just left Canada for Ireland this weekend and saw many of the trees across our river pop out with vibrant colour. I love fall in Canada and wish I would be there to enjoy the beauty! :)

  6. Fall is in the air around here also. But until October 1st all be holding on to summer - kicking and screaming if I have to!

    As always, beautiful photo.

  7. Here in western Canada, it is 4C (39F?)today, which means WINTER is here. Supposed to warm up later in the week. I don't care for the summer heat and like it cool, but this is nuts. It's gone from summer to winter overnight. :)

Hope you're feeling great. xo T.

  8. That lovely and serene field is just calling our for a horse to be ridden slowly through it...and I envision an apple pie waiting back at the farmhouse, still slightly warm, for the happy travler (and a carrot for the horse). ;)

    Happy Fall Trina...xo J~

  9. I love that you used the word deciduous.
We learned all about the 7 biomes a few weeks ago in Science, and my boys just LOVED that word...
    the picture is just beautiful.

  10. Hi Trina! What a beautiful photo! And a beautiful post, too. I love September in Michigan - next to June, that is.... lol! But fall brings beautiful cool weather, bright blue skies, and incredible color in the leaves. And that all lends to perfect sleeping weather, too! Have a great week, friend!

  11. Hello Trina,

What a beautiful picture...don't you just love living in the country. I would never want to move unless I absolutely had to. Your home is so lovely and if that field is a sample of the countryside where your home is located then you are a VERY lucky couple.
    Enjoy your evening.

    Maura :)

  15. Fall is definately making a debut here in Northwest Washington. The bright oranges and yellows are just starting to appear.

Love your picture... the field, green trees, blue skies, billowy clouds....

  16. I love this picture too! I live in eastern North Carolina where we have, even in September, hot and humid days. But, I have felt a little change recently. The breeze has picked up and blowing the dead leaves off the branches. It also isn't quite so humid. The nights seem cooler as well. Come on fall! Show your colors! :>)
