Love your blog, but it pains me to see such scientific illiteracy. Sorry. If you are for truth, for mankind, and for the environment, then please do educate yourself on the science (some unbiased helpful links below). Much like climate change, there is zero debate on this issue, but so many interests would have you believe otherwise. Unfortunately, it seems to be taking quite some time for people to come around and get educated on this issue (..time that some people just frankly do not have). ~C http://www.geneticliteracyproject.org/2015/01/29/pewaaas-study-scientific-consensus-on-gmo-safety-stronger-than-for-global-warming/ http://www.geneticliteracyproject.org/2013/10/08/with-2000-global-studies-confirming-safety-gm-foods-among-most-analyzed-subject-in-science/ http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2015/03/science-doubters/achenbach-text http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-truth-about-genetically-modified-food/ http://www.popsci.com/article/science/core-truths-10-common-gmo-claims-debunked
Dear "C" This petition simply supports the right to know - requiring GMO labeling. People can make their own decisions on the safety of GMO foods but that can't happen if there isn't mandatory labeling of them. Best, Catherine
I wish I could sign this petition, we need one in the UK as David Cameron is pro GMO. So short sighted. Thank-you for posting this, I have not seen this on the Bakers Creek site which is surprising,

Thank you Catherine for helping in bringing awareness about the importance of labeling GMO products. We absolutely should have the right to know, Thereby allowing us, the consumers, to make healthy, wise and informed choices. I wish I could sign the petition. We need one here in Canada
Done ! :)

No GMO. So many don't even know what it means or what it is doing to our bodies, our farmers, our long-term health. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine. Shared it on Facebook too!
