This is Spring

The quiet hope of a spring rain...

Theses intervals of spring weather are promising as they assure that warmer weather is soon to come.

I could never live without the gift of the four seasons. I truly live through each of them, reveling in the present, yearning for the one to come, and sentimental for those that have passed.

It's a beautiful rhythm.

  1. We still have so much snow on the ground and now it is very windy and raining, I keep thinking it will be months until Spring !
I agree about the thought of "hope" .. for so many things, but at this point ... I hope Spring comes very soon :)

  3. I am a four seasons girl, too...and sometimes think each one is my favorite. We still have quite a bit of snow on the ground, but with warmer temperatures and rain(!)today, I know it won't be long before I'll see the first green shoots of spring...

  4. I'm with you. I love the opportunity to start fresh in each season. I appreciate that in a four season climate, every month has its own mood. Even if our spring season is dragging her feet a little bit :)

  9. I enjoy playing "I spy" with your photos. I think that's the painting that spoke to you, reflected in that lovely gilt mirror. Thank you so much for sharing. --Take care, Em

  10. It is Em! I put it over the mantle in our living room. It seems very much at home in there.

  15. I love actually having four distinct seasons! I am originally from South Louisiana, where it is usually summer all year round with a few days of winter thrown in!

  16. I am with you! Each season I revel in it and think that I can't be as in love with the next, but I always am. :-) Enjoy!

  17. So happy spring is here even with the sharp coolness in the air. We had rain yesterday. When we moved to CA fro mthe east coast we were sure there were no seasons. To our delight we were wrong; they just weren't the same.

  18. A move to CA meant no seasons, we thought. There were seasons in northern CA to our delight! They were just different. Not missing that it didn't rain here today.
