We have some news to share.
The time has come for us to say goodbye to our cherished home, there is a move on our horizon.
The time has come for us to say goodbye to our cherished home, there is a move on our horizon.
With a great opportunity for Mike, and the chance to be closer to our families, we'll begin a new chapter, in a new place, with the dreams of a new home.
With gratitude and the fondest of memories, we've begun to pack up a house that has held us for the last seven years.
A house that we hope will offer a new family as much as it has offered us.
Holy cow! Is it okay for me to be a little sad, even though I don't know you personally? Your home has always been a dream to me.
ReplyDeleteHello, Hope you will let us follow you to the next house:-) Your pictures always gives me inspirations! Happy easter from Siv from Norway:-)
ReplyDeleteOh my! You sound excited and hopeful, so that will make it easier leaving such a lovely home, I'm sure. Where are moving to, if you can say? I wish you all the best!
ReplyDeleteHope we see you back after your move. You are very inspirational :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Trina. I'll be sad to say goodbye to your lovely place, but look forward to your new adventures!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Janine
I have enjoyed watching you change this house into your beautiful home. How wonderful to be closer to family. And who know what kind of projects you may have in your new home. Best of Luck
ReplyDeleteI hope you will have a blog about your new home! I have really enjoyed following the evolution of your house (and your family!) over time. I wish you lots of happiness in your new place, and I hope you will keep us posted on all of your new projects - I always find so much inspiration coming here.
ReplyDeleteHappy as I am for your new opportunities I am selfishly hoping it doesn't mean we won't see you again. You have been such an inspiration and my favorite place to visit.
ReplyDeleteMy good wishes and blessings to you Trina and for your husband and beautiful children . . .
Love, Lynne
Wow, that is big news. Wishing you all the best in your new adventure. We look forward to your future posts about your new home.
ReplyDeleteYou and your husband have certainly created a "beautiful home" someone will so enjoy. Nothing really belongs to us...we are just stewards of His blessings. I look forward to reading and viewing your new place. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteRita
I think it sounds like wonderful news for your family, you will make the next home look as lovely and the important part of a home is the people that live in it!

WHAT?!
ReplyDeleteAwww, I'll miss your posts about your beautiful home but know you will share your new home with us. thank you. ;) With your precious children I'm sure you would like to be close to family. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope we can follow along and see the next home! You house is so beautiful and I know whoever is lucky enough to buy it will be overjoyed with it.
ReplyDeleteEven though it is a good thing for your family, I am a little sad. As bloggers, and readers of blogs, we live a little through the lives and pictures of others. Your home is so wonderful and beautiful. And of course, my heart goes out to you, as you begin a journey of change.
ReplyDeleteThe thought of moving and finding another home....I wish you lots of prayers and something even more exciting...
Best wishes...

ReplyDeleteI love LOVE your blog, and your home has been a huge inspiration to me. I SO hope this isn't goodbye.
ReplyDeleteI, too, felt a little sad and shocked to read this! Oh, your lovely, lovely home that I so enjoy living in vicariously! My second thought was 'oh, who is the lucky, lucky person who gets to buy it??'. Good luck on your move and I hope you share your next house journey with us!
ReplyDeleteTrina, I can't even begin to imagine how you two are feeling. You have put so much love into your current home and it is where your brought the babies home to. But, I know the opportunity for Mike is a blessing as well as being closer to loved ones. And, a home after all is where you loved ones are!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes with your new adventure! I would love to buy your beautiful home. I know you are some what close to Portland as I too live in Oregon.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to be by family though so I so understand.
~Blessings K.Marie

ReplyDeleteI have followed your journey in this home and have loved every minute of it. Thank you for opening your house to us. I hope that you continue writing about your new home.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes,
Tara
Oh my goodness! Your house is pretty much like my dream home :) I LOVE following your journey and I do hope you will continue the blog with your new adventure in your next home! Oh, and I also appreciate you sharing your fertility struggles (and joys now with your babies). We also went through a long TTC journey and recently did IVF and I am now pregnant! Not sure if it's twins yet, but it's been an inspiration to read about others' experiences who have gone through similar situations. Good luck with the move!
ReplyDeleteDear Trina,
ReplyDeleteI too am a bit stunned and sad. I count on seeing your updates. In fact, your blog is my opening page on the internet.
I know you and Mike will create another beautiful home for your family. You will have a new canvas. I bet it will be another challenge. Please continue to keep us up-to-date on the process. In the meantime, I will look at the beautiful
view from your porch when I log on to the computer.
Best wishes to you all on your new adventure. I'm sure it will be wonderful for you both and the children to be close to family.
Jane
must be so bittersweet...and so exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new adventure! You have certainly been an amazing Stewart to your home. The next family will be so blessed to call that gorgeous house home.
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to see what you transform next;)
Congratulations to you all. I can imagine the wild range of emotions you undoubtedly have at this time. I doubt the "for sale" sign will hang long. You have created a beautiful home. But, there are incredible adventures ahead for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your home with us, and Best Wishes on the next phase!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the opportunity but I'll be a little sad to see you move from the place you gave new life so beautifully. Hopefully, you'll keep us posted on your new home. Good luck in the sale and the finding of a new nest.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.
Good luck on your new home. Please continue to share your updates and projects. You two have such wonderful taste and ideas. It has truly been a pleasure to peak into your home these past few years. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteJudy :)
Wishing you all the best as you prepare to move and create a new home in a new location! I have loved following along as you renovated this house and turned it into such a lovely inviting home and will be sad not to be able to revisit it through your blog. Please do keep us posted on your new home adventures! Blessings and peace!
ReplyDeletep.s. how I wish I were in a position to be able to purchase your home! It truly is the house of my dreams!
Moving on and new chapters can be such exciting times in our lives - even when we have to say goodbye to something as special as your wonderful home. I hope you share your move and your new home and the adventures between here and there. I'm thrilled for the new opportunities and the chance to be closer to family. I wish you the best!
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Oh how I love your (current) house and your blog. I do hope you will continue writing and share the adventure for your new home! Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteOMG! You shouldn't have a problem selling! Will you continue to blog?
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you for sharing this news with us, as you have so generously shared your journey of creating your beautiful home. Like your other followers, I am so hoping that you will continue your blog as you embark on this new adventure. Wishing you and your family all the best!
ReplyDeleteThis is the home you will keep forever in your heart. All the love you put into it, bringing your babies home and
ReplyDeleteall the memories you've created here. Keep all these
memories tucked in your heart! Best Wishes and hope to hear good things from you soon.
So happy you will be able to be closer to your families but sad to be losing the lovely home you and your husband created. I too hope you will continue blogging wherever you go. We all would love to hear about your adventures for both your family and your new home.
ReplyDeleteWow Trina, after all the work you've both put into your beautiful home! Those next owners are inheriting something so special and gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLooking very much forward to seeing your new home!
Wishing you all the best on this exciting adventure!
Love, Dawn
Trina and Mike,
ReplyDeleteI have followed your blog for years and agree with all of the others that it makes me a bit sad (I can't imagine how you feel!)
But new chapters are so exciting and with the kids in tow you will surely have just a great a future as the memories you made here.
I hope you continue to blog and share with us as your blog is my favorite place to come and visit.
Good Luck.
OM Gosh, I hope that you will continue to blog. I love your home so much, it has given me such hope while redoing our tiny cottage, that some days I just sit and read your blog to relax. Good luck and I wish you all the happiness in the world.
ReplyDeleteI have goose bumps, I look forward to your posts and have truly enjoyed you sharing your beautiful home and family. Best of luck on your move. Hope you continue to share with us.
ReplyDeleteAmy F. from CT
Trina,
ReplyDeleteYou are my favorite blog to read. I feel like I know you and Mike. I have loved reading and seeing the beautiful changes you have made to your home, inside and out. I check in every morning to see if there is a new post.
Please share your new home with us. You and Mike have so many talents to offer.
Karen - WI
Hope you will continue blogging. Like the others who have commented I have loved reading about your adventures and home. I am moving too so I understand all that it involves.
ReplyDeleteWish you the best,
Janice
What a surprise! Best wishes in your new endeavors.
ReplyDeleteI am completely stunned. I couldn't believe it when I read that and like many others, felt a twinge of sadness. You are a HUGE inspiration to me (the biggest of all bloggers really) with your beautiful, simple and heart felt design style and philosophy. Please say you plan to keep blogging on your 'next chapter.' Take care and many congratulations.
ReplyDeleteTrina & Mike,
ReplyDeleteAlthough we have never met, I feel as if we are old friends. You have graciously allowed us into your home and shared all your wonders. The joys of your farmhouse, the news of your great expectations and now this. I know you will take all the memories of this home with you and I hope you will continue to feel that we are all here elated in your marvelous news of being closer to home and new adventures.
I feel that this is only good news for you all. I love good news.
pve
Cannot wait to see your next home and what wonderful memories you will have of your awesome farmhouse! Whoever lives in it next is very lucky :)!
ReplyDeletei'm hoping that you will continue to blog and show us your next beautiful home. Congratulations on this new adventure!

Hi there, may your move be easy and go quickly, I hope they'll be another incredible home for you. I have loved seeing your home and hope that you'll share your next one with us.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you and your family as you start your new adventure. May your new home be a source of joy and love for all.
ReplyDeleteTrina, I will join the chorus of your readers who will sorely miss reading of your days in the country farmhouse, I too simply love the home you and Mike have created and it has been my ideal of a "dream home". I would buy your home in a heartbeat if it weren't clear across the country from me! Best of luck in your new move - I am so happy for your family and I know you must be excited about the future. Looking forward to following you in your new blog!
ReplyDeleteYou must have mixed feelings, to leave such a lovely home. I wish you all happiness in your new abode - hope you keep us up to date :o)

ReplyDeleteTrina,
ReplyDeleteI know wherever you live you will have a lovely home. I have loved watching you and Mike renovate this home and it is so incredible. I hope an appreciative family buys it.
Good luck for you and your sweet family.
Karen
Trina, I can only echo the comments of everyone before me. While I'm sad that we won't be seeing more of the beautiful home you've worked so hard on, I'm also happy for you, Mike and the twins. You have an exciting adventure ahead.
ReplyDeleteOn a personal note, your blog was one of the first I started to follow -- and it's what inspired me to start my own. Like you, I focus on original content and photos. Your blog is so personal and unique to you, which is what makes it so very interesting. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Please promise you'll continue to blog when you move into your new home. It would be very sad to me and all your loyal readers to lose touch with you and your family.
Best wishes,
Claudia
Oh my! How very bittersweet! I am a long time reader, rare commenter, and HUGE fan! It has been a treat to read of your adventures and to watch it all come together. We moved from our "forever home" almost a year ago. I still miss it sorely and we have much to do to make our current home feel like "us." I do hope you will take us all along with you and allow us to enjoy another transformation. Blessings to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteSO SO sad to hear this, but so happy for you and your family in your new adventure! I hope that we get to come along and stay with your family, as you have become a part of so many of our lives! Thanks for sharing so much beauty and love with us!
ReplyDeleteTim
God Bless you and your family on your new Adventure.
ReplyDelete...mercy!...are you taking us with you...blessings laney
ReplyDeleteOh my! It sounds like a happy move, but your readers will all be sad to say good-bye to that amazing house you have put so much of yourselves into! I know wherever you land, you will eventually end up with your great style showing through. Best of luck with the move! I hope your blog will continue. Thanks for sharing your lovely home and lovely twins with us...
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I wish I could buy it! I hope you will bless us with your new home and all of the fabulous transitions along the way. :)
ReplyDeleteI will echo what several others have said already: although I have never visited your home I feel that I will miss it now that you are moving. However, I do hope you will continue sharing your adventures with us and I wish you the best in your new home!
ReplyDeleteYour house has always been one of my favorites in the blog world, and I'm sad we won't be able to see your gorgeous photos of it anymore. However, as the mom of a one year old who recently moved to be closer to family, I completely understand your decision! We were not prepared for how difficult it was to be so far away from family with a baby, and you have two! I do hope you'll blog about the new house though! Happy wishes for a safe move and transition! :)
ReplyDeleteHearty Congratulations on your new adventure. I hope the lovely documentation of these beams and windows makes for a fast sale to a perfect family. Moving is hard for some, and for others, its an opportunity to re-group, shift, align and re-order things. I hope it is everything you wish it to be, and that the "closer to family" part of the next chapter is precisely what your little family of four needs to continue in it's flourish. I look forward to reading whatever you share in your next endeavors.
ReplyDeleteWherever you are, it will be beautiful. Of that I am certain.
ReplyDeleteP.S Thanks for the history on your gr-grandmother's bust. It's really beautiful, and I can imagine what a friend it is after all this time, having been touched by so many hands. If only it could talk. The genealogy stories would be grand. :)
ReplyDeleteI've followed your blog for the past three years and wish you all the best in your move. I'm sure you have mixed feelings about leaving your beautiful home with all its memories, but there's no substitute for living close to family. Good luck!
ReplyDeletePlease tell us all that your going to keep blogging so we all can be off pins and needles lol !!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEven though I know it must be hard to leave a house you have poured your heart and soul into, I'm excited for you too. Being close to family when your children are little is such a wonderful thing, and I'm so glad we had that opportunity when our children were young.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you as you search for your "new" dream home!
xo Kat
I could actually cry for you.
ReplyDeleteThat must be terribly hard.
Wherever you go I'm sure it will be just as beautiful.
-Steve .
There's nothing to add that hasn't already been said - sigh!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your beautiful home with all of us and for taking the time to answer my questions.
I wish you and your family the very best.
Sincerely
Wow that IS big news. Very excited for you, but I'm sure it will be hard to leave your beautiful home where your babies began life. Hard for me too LOL because I love seeing your changes and improvements. You have been an inspiration for me for a few years now ... Thank you! All the best for the plans and move.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your house and what you did to it wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSending best wishes for an easy move and adjustment to your new home. And congratulations on the new career !
ReplyDeleteI will keep watching for you to come back and let us know how you all are and see photos of a new home that will be even more special than those before.
Wishing you Much Good Luck !

Congrats! A new adventure awaits...and there is nothing like having family nearby-no house can ever compete with that!
ReplyDeleteLove you blog. And as a mom of twins, too, I love seeing your little ones come into their own. Hopefully you'll keep us posted on the new place!
Trina and Mike: While I do not comment often, I'm a long time reader. I wish you much success in all your new adventures. The new owners of your home are very fortunate and I have no doubt that your new place will be a warm, lovely home to raise your family.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that you continue blogging. Best, Cindy
Gee, I was hoping for a post about the twins with Easter bunnies!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your move! Looking forward to following your new home decorations!
all the best and hoping that you will continue the blog with the new chapter in life. it would be wonderful for the twins to grow up closer to family
ReplyDeleteTrina,
ReplyDeleteI echo the many voices of your readers....your dear home will be missed! I do hope you will continue to blog in your new place, as I've drawn sooo much inspiration from you too. ;) It's a blessing to be close to family though. Life is short!
God bless,
Gail
As someone who moved 10 times in as many years, mixed in the sadness is always a little thrill when beginning anew. Best of luck where ever you land. I have enjoyed reading this part of your journey.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your move- but a little sad to see your house go :( everything happens for a reason, and am keeping my fingers crossed that you will continue blogging :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this beautiful HOME with us. And, yes, please continue to share your new 'HOME sweet HOME' with wherever it will be.
ReplyDeleteI am happy for you knowing that your touch on this home will dearly cherished by the new owner, and your touch on the future one will be much more blessed.
God bless!
Churaipon from Chiang Rai, Thailand
Wishing you a smooth move and a bright and happy new future in your new home. No doubt you two will work your charm on it too! All the best, Patty/BC
ReplyDeleteTrina,
ReplyDeleteNoooooo Trina, I'm so upset to hear that you are moving. Your children are going to wish you didn't move since this is the house they have spent their childhood in. I wish you all the best in your new home. Don't move please
Oh my ... I can't imagine leaving a place that I'd worked so hard to improve, but life changes and change can be good. I wish you all the best in your new adventure.
ReplyDeleteojej ... your home and all you have written have been so inspiring - so do not stop broadcasting, please :)
ReplyDeleteall the best, el.
I knew something was up Trina and your news about moving surprised me yet didn't at the same time. I thought a change was on the horizon because we haven't heard from you.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly must have mixed emotions but life continues to evolve. One door closes and a new door opens. Please let us know how you are feeling about this big change.
Miss you already,
Sleepless in Seattle
I live all the way down under and I have loved watching the transformation of your house and your dreamy outlook with mountainous scenery and stunning garden surround! It has been so lovely to watch and read from afar. Best wishes
ReplyDeleteTrina,
ReplyDeleteLike many others yours was the first blog I discovered and is still my favourite. Love the updates and beautiful photo's you have taken the time to share with all of us over the years. Wishing you lots of luck with your new adventure...........and please don't forget about us - please keep blogging!
Big sniff,
Lisa, London.
I have so enjoyed your blog and beautiful photos. I wish the very best for you and your family in this new chapter!
ReplyDeleteDear Trina and Mike,
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your post yesterday I was selfishly saddened. What a wonderful opportunity for you! The wisdom you have gained from renovating, knowledge of landscaping and your lovely decorating abilities will be used to create another loving home. Good luck and take care of those babies. Please post on your new home when you can.
Thank you for sharing,
Sara, Ohio
Trina,
ReplyDeleteWe have all loved seeing your home transform into the beautiful place that we all love to see and visit. Congratulations on the new opportunity and keep us informed. Where on earth are you moving too?
xo, Lissy
I'm sure this is sad and exciting at the same time. You have revived the house, and made it happy again, the next family will love it. Hoping you can find a house that will fill both of your hearts again. Wish you all the very best there is! donna :)
ReplyDeleteI am speachless...
ReplyDeleteWow, that is not what I expected to read. Obviously I will miss seeing your home and your decorating but it sounds like a wonderful opportunity you all!!
ReplyDeleteA house can not compare to being close to family. Wow! I know it will be hard but you will make the next place just as wonderful. I cannot wait to see where you land. I hope blogging is still a part of your life. Congrats to Mike for a great job opportunity...they are rare in this economy. xo
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I am afraid this will be the end of your blog :( of course I hope that's not the case. But, I'm excited for you, excited for the seemingly-perfect husband, and most of all I'm excited for the children. Being closer to family means more than even the most magical home. Home is an idea, not a place; and in no time the new place will welcome the idea of your home!
ReplyDeleteI love your house so, so much. One day when my mom was particularly down, I brought her my iPad with your blog pulled up and told her to go hide and restore while reading your blog. She loved it too, said it inspired her and got her excited about her own home all over again.
Congratulations! I hope to see the new home, but even if I don't I'll know it's beautiful.
It would be very hard to leave that view, but change happens and we believe for better things to come. Good luck on your move. Sure hope you continue to blog. I've enjoyed yours.
ReplyDeleteWow, Trina! This is quite a surprise to us bloggers who ADORE the home you two have made...however, I am so excited for your family to embark on a new adventure! Can't wait to see your next home :) God bless you during this transition!!
ReplyDeletemy dear friend, I wish you all your heart desires in this new chapter in your lives and in your new home. may you find good fortune, joy in your home and peace in your heart.
ReplyDeletemy love to you, Mike and the sweetpeas...
xxojoan
You have graced us with the beautiful pictures of your life. No matter where you go, no matter where you live, you will bring that beauty as it is in your heart. Blessings to you and your family as you prepare to leave and start anew, Valerie.
ReplyDeleteDear Trina...
ReplyDelete"Closer to our families" says it all and I completely understand. Although I no longer have the beautiful view of the Oregon mountains, I am now a brief 14 minutes from my daughter and her family. I love being able to see four of my wonderful grandchildren frequently. Your parents must be so excited!
I'm hoping you will continue to blog about your new journey.
Dianne
Trina, I wish you and your sweet family the very best as you move forward in this new chapter. I completely understand how special it is to be near family, especially once you have children. Wherever life takes you, I know you will create a beautiful home full of love and happiness. And how wonderful you have your blog to look back and remember all the special memories you made in your gorgeous farmhouse!
ReplyDeleteI know you must have mixed emotions. We move frequently due to my hubby's job, too. It is always sad to leave home, church, community, friends ... but a new home, new friends, new blessings always await. We hope you'll create a new blog so we can stay updated on you and your lovely family, Trina. And please suggest to your new homeowners to create their own house blog so we can continue to enjoy the "life" of the beautiful restored farmhouse. Thank you and blessings in your packing and moving. Kay in Texas
ReplyDeleteBest of luck and please keep blogging!
ReplyDeleteWendy
I would be so sad. I think I would have convince family members to move closer to me. :) Good luck with your move. Hopefully you will find a place just as wonderful. Don't stop blogging. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! So excited for you! Now...where do I sign to buy your gorgeous home?
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments are similar to your many other fans. I adored reading about your tasteful renovations and loved your art of photographing the simple pleasures of life.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about your new home and please promise to continue blogging.
Happy Easter, NB in Ontario, Canada
Floored! Someone will be so lucky to get to live in the home you poured so much love and labor into ... Wish it was me. I suggest you have all your wonderful blogs made into a book so your little ones will have a family record and you can look back on this phase of the adventure. On to the next chapter I guess. Please keep us all posted.
ReplyDeleteWauw, You've been so busy with decorating your wonderfull house, and guesthouse!
ReplyDeleteI hope to see more
Love from the Netherlands

ReplyDeleteI hope you continue blogging at the new home. It would be so interesting to see you start from the beginning!
-Elizabeth from Ottawa
Best wishes and many blessings to your family on your new adventure and home. Please know how much enjoyment and inspiration your posts have been. And I hope you'll continue to blog when you are settled in your new home, sharing your lives and projects with the many who have loved following you these several years. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteWell all I can say is that it has been such a pleasure to see all your steps at making that amazing home totally awesome - for ALL of us!
I am glad you will be closer to family (they're everything,) and that it is a good opportunity for your husband.
I selfishly am sad and will miss your sweet home - and again that mountain view freaks me out, it is so amazing....I live landlocked in flat part of Ohio and cannot imagine a view like that...you must be sad to leave, too, I can imagine.
Best wishes!
Can't wait to see what is in your future for a new home, you both have such vision and talent to make things beautiful!
Egads! I hope the new owners are also bloggers!
ReplyDeleteJust a quick note to say, please, please continue with your blog. I may not comment but I love getting your post notifications in my inbox.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little sad too, lol! Watching your beautiful home evolve has been so inspiring. But being closer to family is a wonderful thing. Please do keep blogging and let us be inspired by your new home, wherever it may be.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! We know how challenging a move is, so we will pray for all to go smoothly. So excited for you to be near your families!
ReplyDeletePlease continue to blog at your new home. You have a beautiful, serene style and it is a pleasure to look at pictures of your lovely babies, and your lovely home!
Sincerely,
Kelly
how sad/exciting! so sad for you ... to have to leave that slice of heaven! so sad for us ... no more photos of the idyllic little spot that exists on this earth. and yet, so exciting ... to see what you do next and what you get to experience, and that hopefully we are still welcome on the journey!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is the first one I look everyday. I love your house. I am sure you will do wonders with a new one. God bless.
ReplyDeleteWhat?!? We were supposed to grow old in that house!!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck as you make your change :)
What?!? We were supposed to grow old in that house!

Oh my... I just read your news.... Your house and property are always what I picture when I dream of my "someday country farmhouse". I feel like I need to shed a few tears for you! But, I'm trusting that the new owners will love and care for it as much as your family did. Best wishes!!
