    Hi Trina,

    Read your post and it was nice to have the whole renovation compiled into one piece. You should be so proud of your accomplishments. It truly looks as if professionals did it. It is amazing. YOU and the whole house are so beautiful inside and out.

    Just came back from Pure Style...so well done Trina! I thought the same as Janet...seeing so much of the renovation in one post was wonderful and really showcased the amazing journey you both have been on.
    Your hard work and the love you put into everything you do has brought beauty and inspirating to so many...you are a true blessing!

    just found your adorable blog/home on PSH.....
    would LOVE to know if you also used Waterlox on your counters? We also have the butcher block tops and I've seen other bloggers that have used the Waterlox....I would love for our counters to look like yours!

    Hi Jeanette,
    We used a product called Safecoat. It's food grade safe and we found it at an environmental supply store. We chose the color 'cedar' as we wanted to somewhat match the color we stained our old fir floors with. We coated the stain with a satin finish by the same company.

    I just discovered you via Pure Style Home, and I simply had to head on over here and compliment you on your fabulous farmhouse re-do.

    My husband and I are thissss close to purchasing a 1920 farmhouse (recent posts about it on my blog), and you are providing me with MUCH encouragement and inspiration.

    It can be a bit daunting at times, but it really is so worth it, isn't it?

    Your home is breathtakingly gorgeous, and I mean that 100%. It has always been a dream of mine to find an old house in a sleepy little town - or in the country - and restore it. Your house matches the pictures and images in my mind of what my dream home would be.
