Getting in the Spirit
I'm a little bit of a party pooper on Halloween. I think my favorite part is toasting fresh pumpkin seeds. In fact, it's probably what motivates me to carve the pumpkin!
I did put out this carved bird on the window sill, which isn't very scary, but it kind of looks like a silhouette against the light.

The little pumpkins are darling. With your large windows, apron sink and wooden counter gleaming, this could be a photo in a magazine. I love those windows by the sink.
ReplyDeleteTrina, what a lovely window sill. Still life with pumpkins and bird. Love it. Thanks for your note too.
ReplyDeleteI bet the colors out there are gorgeous right now.

P.S. My word verification for submitting this post is "chill". How appropriate for fall!
Very simple, but pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is gorgeous. Love the wee pumpkins. I am crazy for your whole house. Do you know, I have read ALL your posts in the last few days?
ReplyDeleteYour house is my FAVORITE on all the blogs. I love your classic taste and measured approach to decorating. I love that your house is full of precious things, not junk. So I would never have expected to see a full on Halloween spectacle in your house! Very classic and quiet with the little touches.
P.S. The new living room chairs you've ordered - are they from Ethan Allen?? I want a chair exactly like this but here I have only found similar at Ethan Allen and they don't have it in their showroom. I don't want to buy sight-unseen. Where is yours from, if I may ask??

Dear sweet Janet and Terri - hugs, hugs, hugs! xoTrina
ReplyDeleteWe don't really do Halloween to any great extent here Trina, but I'm sure it will get bigger in the coming years. Your kitchen sill looks lovely, very restrained & elegant.
