An Attache

There are those things that you buy from time to time that you never thought you needed, or even wanted for that matter.  The other day, it was a wicker attache case with leather handle and brass hardware.

The three of us saw her in an antique store (the babies and me) and by majority vote we decided to buy her for $32.

For something that I didn't know I needed, or didn't even want, and for something I'll probably never use, I thought that it was a bargain!

What do you think?

Shall I schedule a business meeting?

Probably not, but maybe I should use it to bring my laptop somewhere...like a cafe. Or more practically, from upstairs to downstairs (for very important breakfast negotiations).

  4. Oh, I would have bought that too. Just beautiful. I think it would look fab sitting on a shelf in an office holding spare paper or boring stuff like all the manuals for appliances and such.

  17. Trina,
It looks as if it was made for you. Perhaps it might serve for hiding special treats from those terrific twins of yours. I do adore the color and that it looks lovingly cared for.

  32. Great find! What a cute outfit your wearing! Where do you like to shop for clothes? I'm at a loss lately with where to buy clothes. I'm just not ready for the styles at the mall..

  33. I just like the look of the case. Ithink it would be neat to have it on a table with somebooks or something on it.
I used to wear those shoes when I was alot younger. Oh how it hurt if you stepped off of them. I see that they are coming back.
Now, your shirt. I have a pink one and a white one just like that. I went to the dentist and left with a bleach mark on my pink one. They are my absolute favorite shirts. I went to the store that I bought it at and they had them on sale plus 60% off of the sale price. But they didn't have my size. But,they ordered them and they are being shipped to my house free of charge for $11 each......I got a new pink one and that blue one. I am so excited. Aren't they perfect shirts.

  36. Hi Katia,
Shirt is from Old Navy - last year. White pants from a consignment store in Portland.
I'm a bit overwhelmed with fashion so I keep it really simple. Perhaps a bit too simple!

  38. The whicker attache is great, the outfit is adorable, but the shoes definitely take the cake! I couldn't believe it when I saw them! Dr. Scholl's wooden sandals ... boy, that takes me back. I loved them when I was a kid. I may need to buy a pair, but $65? Oh, what the heck. Are yours new or old?

  39. I love your attache but what really caught my eye are your shoes. Please tell me those are new and where you got them because I remember having them in high school and would love another pair. They used to be made by Dr. Scholl's, I think but I don't see them on their website.

  40. Love it. It would look great just on a table. With books on top of it.Or open with office supplies in it.

  41. I'm going to make you feel better. I bought 200 business cards and I don't have a business or a blog or anything that would warrant buying business cards. But they were cute and I convinced myself I would use them. I haven't, but I don't care...they are just so darn cute.

They are Dr. Scholls and I bought them last summer...or maybe the summer before that I think! They are new and you can find them on the Dr. Scholls web site, although I found mine in a local shoe store here in town.
