A New Orchid to Love

This orchid has come home to live with us.
I'm crossing my fingers that those lovely closed buds open up into blossoms.

I would love to find out who makes these beautiful nest-like containers.
They are the perfect compliment to the orchid.

  3. That's a very beautiful container - For a second I thought that it was just the bare soil and roots molded into the shape of the container! p.s. Your babies are adorable - just gorgeous.

  4. The orchid is beautiful. And it's amazing how raising kids can humble the most well laid decorating plans. Good to have that perfect orchid to buoy up your spirits!

  5. I cannot decide which giggle I prefer, that of the orchid or that random block lying askance on the floor.

I just got my first orchid on birthday last week and the thing is still alive. Hope I have as much success as you've had with them reblooming.

  21. I know the feeling about the toys going where they are not supposed to. Watching our 10 month old granddaughter, it is a constant "drop and pick up" game and if there is a barrier or a table, off it goes. It must be a learning curve of some kind...cause and effect.

  22. trina i remember a few years back when you posted on getting your orchids to rebloom. that was when i made up my mind that i would stop tossing mine and actually try to get them to rebloom. you inspired me way back then. now i'm getting them to rebloom and i have you to thank for it! love this new one, so beautiful and the pot is to die for! also, when i first found out about your pregnancy i remember imagining your beautiful home strewn with brightly colored toys. well here it is! it's all so lovely. xo
