Flowering Quince Branches
I came upon some flowering Quince branches at the grocery store this past weekend. Seeing them made my heart go pitter pat. I just love flowering branches of all kinds and I'm so looking forward to watching the pretty pink blossoms open. xo
Your kitchen looks gorgeous and the quince blossoms look perfect! Leigh
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, your house is so gorgeous, I love it all!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful! We NEVER get anything like that around here (southern california). They look so lovely and fresh.
ReplyDeleteThanks doll,

I don't think you need any flowers to make your kitchen look good, it speaks for itself - just divine. Sandy
ReplyDeleteVery pretty indeed! Nice touch...love those branches.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more ... nothing says "spring is near" than a flowering branch!
ReplyDeleteLove it.
We love to make January and/or February a little less drab with branches -- I always look for them (and sometimes scope out the ones in the neighborhood) -- they're wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous again!!! I adore your kitchen! You've done a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThey have the same effect on me too! They look lovely - enjoy them.
ReplyDeletejules :)
Oh how lovely! They look perfect in your beautiful kitchen. Can't wait to see them when they bloom! My mom always brought in Forsythia branches, she loved yellow.
ReplyDeleteThey look gorgeous in front of your newly decorated shelves! Very classic.

I love the seasonal changes that you continue to make to your kitchen and these branches are the perfect touch of spring (though I won't see spring for a few more months). What a beautiful scene!
ReplyDeleteQuince! My heart is a flutter!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow morning I'm going out to cut forsythia--not as elegant, but I'll take what I can get...

p.s.
you did a bang up job with paint and arranging!!
We have a quince in our backyard and Southern Living told us how to force the bloom. I'm tempted to try it.
ReplyDeleteYour new "less kitcheny" kitchen looks so nice (of course it looked good before)! Love your blog!
What a beautiful kitchen.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful home.
Have a nice week!
Bodil.
How gorgeous. I miss blossoms so much. They don't grow where we live now:-(
ReplyDeleteYou have such a fresh, light kitchen. You must love it.

My grandparents had a beautiful flowering Quince, how lucky to find some branches to brighten up your kitchen during the winter months!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
Your kitchen is an inspiration.
ReplyDeletei too love the flowering branches, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour home is so lovely! the branches are beautiful idea!
ReplyDeleteI try to never use the word 'envy' but your Flowering Quince does make me have to say I wish I had some. I had a giant bush, but had to have it removed last year for a project in my yard. I had planned to transplant it, but it just wasn't the right time of year. I loved forcing branches in the spring...such a beautiful plant.
ReplyDeleteHi, new to your blog and in love with all that you have done! We too are in the middle of a remodel or transformation to the home we want and will love. Love the open shelving and those branches...so beautiful! You now will be in my reading list and I am a follower. Look forward to all your posts and getting to know you.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Victoria
