October Poem

View from our upstairs window.

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand.
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

  1. What a lovely blog! I found you through Cottage Instincts. We bought a house built in 1869 and have been fixing it up since too!

  5. I think you are living everyone's dream!!!!!

    Your home is beautiful and the views! You are blessed!

    Living in Massachusetts has allowed me to experience how beautiful the fall can be. After living here for 4 years, I "finally" realize this is a wonderful place to dwell. (Takes me a long time to feel at home-I am settled now!)

    Have a great weekend enjoying the bounty of fall~

    Love the photo out of your bedroom window and the poem. I think I would be like Joan and stare at it all day long. Really beautiful. Thanks for leaving the comment for me (Joan included). Your very welcome - any time. Hope it helped! Have a great day.

  8. Such a beautiful view! Fall is my favorite season... I'm from Maine, so I got spoiled with some of the most beautiful Autumns... and now that I live in Georgia I miss them dearly!
