Settling In

Between the never-ending tasks of unpacking and sorting, there are moments to pause.

The quiet ending days of Autumn are so beautiful.

My dear Joan, stoic as ever, has made such a journey with us.
She is a constant companion.
This is her lovely view.

Late Autumn tidings to all of you.

  3. Catherine,
What a beautiful view. I for some reason thought you and your family were moving to California. The view out your window appears to be someplace else, maybe the east coast?
Your bust of Joan is so pretty.

  10. I'm so happy for you and your family as you nestle into your new home. As stunning as your view of Mt. Adams was in Oregon, this one by the river's edge is equally as beautiful.

  16. I have been reading your blog for a long time and at the risk of sounding rude, I think that it would really be nice if you would tell us where you are located.

    1. I thought it looked more like beautiful New England, than it did California. I feel as though Autumn has lingered especially long this year...

  28. I too am a west coast (Los Angeles) girl relocated to the east. While I truly love the seasons, lifestyle and almost everything here...I miss the casual decorating style of California. We have an old, crusty dutch colonial with so much East Coast charm...I need you to show me how to bring the two together.......love your posts, can hardly wait to see what you do next.
