I'm not actually sure what defines a Mommy Blogger but I guess I identify with the term these days. Although I try to post on the house as much as possible, it's not always easy to highlight new things as we haven't really updated much around here since my last trimester of pregnancy (when I spent a great deal of time reclined).
What I have done is to eat, sleep and breathe our babies. They are my life, my loves, my everything. They are my favorite topic, and the focus of our existence. Our days are busy as you can imagine and most of the time, the only moment I have to hop on the computer is at night, when the house is asleep.
Being limited on time has also unfortunately affected my ability to always respond to comments, for which I've wanted to apologize for some time. I read each one and often think about them throughout the day. But no matter the dialogue I have with everyone in my head, I often don't get a chance to write it down.
Mike took some pictures of me with the babies recently, which was a treat. Usually, I am the one holding the camera. I included a couple of the photos at the top of the post.
Though I think if my Mom saw these, she'd wonder aloud if I combed my hair before taking the photos... It is funny because I haven't had an official hair-cut in a long time (could it be a year?). My mom has been cutting it during her frequent visits from California, despite the fact that she hasn't cut anyone's hair since she herself was the mother of two little ones.
This is me back in those days. My mom recently told me that my dad and she used to sneak into our bedrooms at night to cut our bangs. Hearing that was an ah-ha moment for me, as it explains why our bangs were always so sloped and/or crooked in all of our pictures.
Hmmm...I see a pattern here. This is my brother and I, and although we are not twins, my mom used to call us Irish twins as we are only a year apart. We grew up with a lot of matching outfits that my mom would sew herself.
Matching jumpers.
Here it is in the wee hours again, so I must end and go to bed! Because no matter how late I stay up, the babies always awake nice and early!

Hi Trina,
Just a quick note to say I love your posts and the love and simplicity that beams from them. And I love your new format- beautiful! As for the hair- you suit long hair! It's so easy and classic, and there's no fear that your style is growing out. I say go with the flow and enjoy it. Besides, it looks so good!

I'm up late too and I don't have any babies! You and yours are too lovely for words. At the risk of repeating myself, Grandma Nib says life is short and childhood even shorter. When the twins are graduating from college you won't regret missing a week or two of blogging in order to savor these moments with them.
What beautiful photos I love the way you are connecting with your babies in each photo!
Your doing a great job the ones of us who have kids understand and know what you mean. Hope you have a fantastic week
Hi Trina,
I have not been by in a while my goodness how your beautiful babies have grown. You are doing the right thing make the most of every moment you have with them hold them in your arms and savour every moment as they grow up so quickly. My first born is 37 this week how the years have flown by.

Perhaps my mother did our bangs in the middle of the night. Not only were the bangs slanted but they were short, almost like a fringe! LOL. Your life has been renovated by your children.
You and Margaret are beautifully matching in that one! What darling photos x
Good Morning! Your post this morning made me smile...all I can say is "Enjoy", they are absolutely precious, and growing fast. Such Blessings!
Such a sweet post! Your twins are getting so big! Thank you for sharing the photos of you and your brother when you were little - they are adorable.
I like your new "Trina" signature at the end of the post. I have a question: at the very bottom, how do you get the "Post a Comment" link to appear? I use Blogger but have not been able to find this feature. Some friends tell me they don't know how to leave a comment on my blog. It would be more intuitive if they saw "Post a Comment." I've been meaning to ask another blogger for some time now: how does one do this? Thanks!
Claudia
Someone asked in a blog yesterday, what does JOY look like . . . The photos of you and your growing toddlers certainly answers the question. When I first began blogging it was a hope and dream for you to one day hold your babies . . . and raise and cherish. Look at you . . . JOY!
hard to believe the twins are so big, they are adorable & growing up very fast. I feel your right where you should be, with your family so many get involved with other things and time slips by and you missed something special they did.
I can relate to being a "mommy" blogger, when your wasn't intended to be that. Love the photo of you and the little one.
And oh my, you are making me realize that I probably should go get a haircut for me (its been over a year too) and I should stop cutting my kids bangs. Hah!
beautiful pictures!
One of my favorite posts ever. Love posts of your house, just gorgeous, but adore posts of your every day life with the babies. Thank you, Sara
Your family is beautiful and just as I enjoyed watching the transformation of your home, I am enjoying watching your sweet babies grow and change. Your photos are so sweet!
I am a mommy but my children can be mommies and daddies themselves now ! And I enjoy every word of your blogs, the babies or the house, it is all lovely. Photos of them (house & babies) are enjoyed too. Keep doing just what you are doing, it is just perfect.
Those first pictures are so beautiful I hope you can frame them perhaps for the childrens room or even your own 'master' bedroom. Just wonderful and I do love the little pictures of long ago. I often look at the pictures of my son and daughter and how they were together a lot growing up.
take care and I do enjoy your blog.
What a treat to see your precious children, and I can't believe how big they are getting - it goes soooo fast and your followers love getting seeing you all!! So fun seeing you and your brother - remembering a few of those hairstyles...
Trina,
You look so happy and how delighted are we to see the labor of your love, your home, your family and all that you share.
Enjoy every moment.
It sure goes fast.

Please do keep 'Mommy' blogging! I am truly loving it! We'll all just count the updates on projects as an added bonus.
Beautiful pictures of you and your babies! Absolutely lovely. Enjoy this time as a day to day mommy. My babies are all now over 6 feet tall and they are great men, but I miss the days when they were little ones.
God Bless.

Love the photos! I wish that I had let Scott take more of me when the kids AND I were younger.
aw, these pictures are so sweet! it's wonderful to see happiness reflected in all your faces. love all your posts - house, babies, flowers.....

Lovely photos of you and your children. Your husband captured the true spirit of mother and child. My children are my life, a responsibility like no other. There is no greater earthly gift. They are 19 and 15. Each day, each month, each year, they become, achieve, accomplish with an unnoticed stepping away from my hand, fingertips. But this is our life's work as parent, meant to be, the reward so sweet. Love them well, they are beauty blessed.
As a fellow mom of young twins (14 month boy and girl), I have wondered how you do it!
Being a Mommy goes by way too fast, so you are dong the right things to live and breath it while you can! My girls are almost grown up and out of the nest, and I am wondering what I will do when the last one has flown. Lovely photos! You will always remember the moment when you have the photos.
Beautiful
Claudia,
Little Blue Deer does my blog...I wrote about her in the post before last.

These are such sweet and happy family photos, Trrina - the looks of love between you and your babies is so beautiful. And I love your and Margaret's matching yellow florals! Mike does a great job of photographing!
oh trina! those photos are just stunning of you and the kids. yes, you are a mommy blogger now! how fun for you to have an outlet to share with the world just what being a mom is about. much love, janet
Trina,
Your words regarding the babies being your life, are so true. I heard your words replay today as I ran for a phone call from my son in Norway. We live from one visit to the next and the phone calls in between are so special. Thank goodness for technology as we can see their dear faces. My sons are 30 and 27 years of age and I can tell you our dear children never stop being the center of our universe. Thank you for your beautiful posts!
Linda
My daughter just learned that she is carrying twins, and I thought of you.
Since these are also her first I was wondering if you pass along some advice? In the wee hours of course.
Trina, those photos are so joyful and precious!
I think everyone understands that you are a busy mama. :) I think it's amazing that you keep up a blog at all! And I think infrequent posts just go to show what a dedicated, focused mom you are.
xoxoxo
I went through an entire year being called OPI (Opi was Ron Howards character in The Andy Griffith show, because my mom would cut my bangs so incredibly close to my head that all I had left was a stub. Hee Hee.
Trina I love your photos with Graham and Margaret. Lovely. You look so pretty and happy. I think you should put one by each crib or bed for them to have.
xoxo

Such lovely photos of you with your babies...a time you can never get back, so understandable that you are living and breathing in these treasured moments. When my babies were small, I played all day with them and cleaned up when they slept. I was in love with the whole thing. My babies are now in their 30's. Time passes quickly. You are wise to enjoy each moment. xx
Life in red shoes,
I recommend a twins group, either locally or online. It's very helpful!
Trina
I'm still so very happy for you about how things turned out.
not being a mom myself yet.. no, i take that back I'm mom to big furry newfies.. can't tell you how much we love the blogs w/your sweeties.. beautiful, tender and pretty amusing much of the time.. you'll catch up on sleep one day, in maybe 20yrs.. kidding.
You are so beautiful and your children are too. Thanks for your lovely simplicity. It's so inspiring!!
I have read your blog regularly, I am so happy for you and Mike with your sweet twins. Enjoy these years as they fly by.
Karen
Trina, I love the photos of you with Graham and Margaret. You look as slender and happy as the day you were married. So beautiful.
I would also add that sporadic blog posts make us savor each one all the more, so take your time. I think anyone who is interested in home renovation also has a patient disposition. ;)
love,
C
This sounds so familiar. My sister and I are 11 months apart and my Mom dressed us alike almost all the time and sometimes she even made herself a skirt in the exact same fabric. Then I had twins (almost 36 years ago) who were identical and I could not bear to dress them alike. Sometimes I would dress them in the same outfit but it was a different color. But hardly ever. I wanted them to be individuals...to establish their own personalities and lies/dislikes. Now...they lives next door to each other, each have a daughter but one is 7 and the other is just over a year. But the girls were born very close to each other...one on May 26th and the other on May 28. It surprises me how close twins can be. Now, I live next door to the both of them and watch the girls with my husband. I guess I am really lucky. But, it is getting late and I need to get to bed. Because you are right: the morning comes very early and I have to be alert and available. Nice post Trina.
Oh those sweet babies! Your life sounds so full of joy-who needs to redecorate or remodel when life is pretty much perfect? So happy for you, your blog is always a bright spot to visit!
Always love and appreciate whatever you write about, however often. The babies are delightful to see here, especially with your loving gaze on them, in front of the camera or behind it. xoxo, sharon
Oh, your baby girl looks just like you! Adorable!

Hi Trina, I think I speak for everyone here when I say that I love to see and hear about your babies! I'm a mom, and I know how your world can revolve around them, so I don't mind when other bloggers post about their children. Its wonderful to see them grow thru your blog, so keep posting.
so sweet....as a mother of 2 and grandmother of 5, I enjoy seeing and reading about your beautiful children!!!!! I enjoy reading about anything you post, your very inspiring!
Beautiful post. I always enjoy my visits to your sweet blog. I am a mommy blogger, because I never see anything saying a grandmommy blogger giggle xo
My first two are 11 montha apart! Then 16 months later came #3! Love my Irish triplets!
Love the childhood bangs! I have a major cow lick so all my photos showed a big hole in the middle of my dark bangs. And I totally understand about not responding to comments - so glad you at least get to read them! IF you ever get time to respond I'd still like to know if there are any markings on the bottom of the brown transferware pitcher you posted last year (brown mums are part of the design). Thank you! Your twins are darling. . .
A lovely smilesome post :o)

This is such a lovely post! I can't wait to have children, & posts like these make me even more excited to be in that time & space. I have been following your blog for quite awhile now, & always enjoy the simplicity of your posts! My husband & I are fixing up a hundred year old farmhouse, & seeing what you guys have done - always gives me confidence to know there is an end to the madness. Though I can't imagine ours will ever be as lovely as yours. :)
The light in the pictures your husband took is so soft. It's completely understandable that your priorities have changed; your gorgeous twins are change enough around the house. This is not an original comment, but they ARE growing up so fast. Thank you for bringing real beauty into my life.

Gorgeous photos of you and your twins. And of your various hairstyles and outfits growing up! I have two girls, so have never thought of matching boy and girl outfits!
Your babies are almost not babies anymore :-( and at the same time :-)
Love your pix. My twins are 26 now, and you photos bring back many memories of brother-sister matching outfits, baby giggles, and a myriad of fun times when my kids were small.
The best part? Now that they are adults, I love the people they have become, and genuinely like their company. Twins are the best :)
These are such beautiful photos! I love that you and your daughter are wearing the same color dress. Cute!
The photos of your children are amazing - they look so happy in your arms. Don't worry about updating things around the house just yet - they look young enough to cause their share of trouble :)
Such precious photos...
That Ocean Photo has the most unique coloring!
Love all of your photos, and especially the Little Gardeners posts...so inviting into who they will grow up to be!
xoxo
