Baby Girl

Hmmmm...what's missing?

Her.

This is our sweet Margaret's favorite snuggle spot in the house.

Things that aren't captured in this photo but are lurking about:

crib (which is conveniently on wheels)
diaper genie
bouncy chair
night stand full of burp cloths
sound machine
diapers, wipes and diaper cream
assorted recently changed baby clothes and baby blankets

And me (in my pajamas) snuggling with the baby girl.

xo

P.S. First photo taken pre-babies.

She's a little angel...and she fits so perfectly on your beautiful, cloud like bedding. Her snuggle factor is unbeleivable...oh my goodness, the snuggling must be non-stop. Darling picture!

I love this post. No amount of being perfectly coiffed and dressed for the day, or a neatly pulled together home can compare to snuggling with your baby! Enjoy every moment with sweet Margaret!

Last night when Mr. Tide and I picked up carry out Chinese food there were two little girls all dressed up, hats and all, sitting and giggling with their parents at a nearby table. I just smiled and remembered when we used to do that with our own children. So glad I did so that when I looked at them I didn't frown with regret!

Well I'm just impressed that the bed is actually made! I only had one baby at a time and sometimes it was right before bedtime that I got the bed actually made!

Margaret is a beautiful girl!

my rudimentary english hadn't the word 'burp cloth' included, i like it, reminds me of our old joke when our first born was a baby: how do you recognize young parents? they all have a burp spot on their shoulder. may you enjoy all the burp spots on all of your shoulders!!!!!! cheers from ireland! eliane

Trina,
She looks like a baby doll sitting on your bed!
So beautiful.
Welcome to Motherhood and all the 'stuff' that goes with it! How can such tiny little people need so much and why is all so big? I wonder how our great grandmothers ever survived -- all they had were rocking chairs and lots of love.

Your Friend,
Deborah

Oh she's a doll!

When I'm styling a photo, I have to look around me and laugh. Sometimes I feel like taking a complete shot of the entire room just to show how hilarious it is that one spot looks perfectly put together, but the rest can be chaos... depending on the mood my son is in.

Oh I'd forgotten about burp clothes Trina, it's been a few years since I needed them! But I do remember always having one slung over my shoulder 'just-in-case'. Miss Margaret is definitely giving her Mum's PJ's the once over in this pic!

With her cute pink relaxed toes and fingers contemplating one another and that soft little furrow ..your beautiful Margaret's expression seems to say...so um mommy, when can I take a picture of you and show everyone how pretty you are and how I listen for the sound of your voice and um well, how much I love and adore YOU.

Lisa-

P.S.thank you for sharing your double blessings-

She is one precious baby girl...looks like she was painted in that picture..just perfect! So why not show the "real" stuff that comes with living with babies...We'll still see your home as perfect even if its full of non decorish baby items..

We used a diaper genie for all of one week...the smell it leaves behind after you empty that full can of dirty diapers isn't pleasant. We immediately used the method of grab a Walmart plastic bag and throw each dirty diaper in the trash can so the smell goes straigh outside and doesnt stay inside.

She looks so sweet, all in white, makes her look so adorable! But..as you said...the house looks totally different cluttered with baby-stuff. I think for me that was the biggest change: getting used to stains on my 'grège' walls, scratches on the wooden floor and never have the feeling the hous is totally clean!
